Cambodia Will Celebrate The 24th Anniversary Of The End Of Cambodia's Civil War Later This Year

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of National Defense will celebrate the 24th anniversary of the end of the Cambodian Civil War and the successful implementation of Prime Minister Hun Sen’s political career. There will be a three-day ceremony from December 29 to 31 December 2022 at the Win-Win Monument, which will be open to the public.

According to the Department of Information, the Ministry of National Defense quoted Deputy Director General of Politics and International Relations Mrs. Nem Sovath as saying that about 11, 000 people will attend the ceremony, including approximately 2,315 armed forces and about 8094 people.

She added that the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) will be in their uniforms according to their military forces, the National Police Force, Honorary Troops and the Security Forces during the ceremony.

Four Star General Ith Sarath's has ordered, for the joining of Chiefs of Staff of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Chairman of the Commemorative Committee for the Commemoration to work closely with the National and International Festival Organizing Committee and the Organizing Committee to find a location for the training of the Armed forces to make sure all security breaches will be handled in the correct manor, before and during the ceremony.

He also reminded all units to continue to adhere to the three health measures, especially to take care to monitor and test for Covid-19 to all forces before participating in this program.

Ith Sarath hopes that all relevant institutions will pay attention to the successful implementation of the plan.

"If all our participating forces perform their duties well, good discipline and order is the face and also the great honor of our Royal Cambodian Armed Forces," he said.
